Vignette is a relaxing First-Person photography game where the player must help peculiar characters cope with the end of the world by delivering photos and fulfilling their quests.
• Created a photo system capturing content information.
• Designed and implemented a branching dialogue system.
• Developed a quest system, checking photos for required objects.
• Planned and constructed expansive scenes using Unity Asset Store assets.
Vignette won the Golden Wire – the media award of the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences – in the Category Interactive.

Dés Ordinaires (french for Ordinary Dice) is a minimalist, mobile puzzle-game. The goal of the game is to “tip” your dice to move, and match the top-face of any surrounding dice.

In an effort to teach myself the basics of C++, I set myself a challenge: I wanted to work on a Game Boy Advance game and I wanted to finish it in no more than a weekend.
In order to accomplish this, I used Butano – an engine used for modern Game Boy Advance development – and ported Space Klaus to the GBA.

PMT - Shiny Addon (Mod)

Tabletop Simulator mod and addon to Mentize’s “Pokemon Master Trainer 3D (7 Generations)” mod. This Expansion includes shiny variants of all Generation 1 Pokémon and their later-gen evolutions, as well as some new, easily integrated rules.
• Created 151 shiny variants of existing sprites.
• Designed new Rules for use as an Expansion.

“AntRant” is our final project for “Game and Experience Design,” a Rogue-Like Tower Defense Game led by a 12-person team over the span of two weeks.

• Engineered a slow-motion system and dash mechanic for dynamic movement between enemies.

• Established a persistent highscore system.

"Real" Guitar Hero Controller

Using an Arduino Micro and Matthew Heironimus’ Arduino Joystick Library, I gutted and rebuilt a vintage Teisco guitar in order to use it as a Guitar Hero Controller.

My name is Niklas (or Nike) and I’m currently studying towards a Bachelor of Science in Engineering at the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences.
Aside from work, I enjoy listening to and collecting video game vinyl, going on walks with my camera, and planning big and elaborate DnD campaigns.
